Imposter, Meet Evidence, a three-day Skill Sprint for executive assistants and Chiefs of Staff from Connected Assistants

About

You know the feeling. The promotion lands, the bigger exec says yes, your name gets mentioned in a room you weren't in. And instead of pride, a cold little voice says: they're going to find out. That voice has a name, fifty years of research behind it, and almost everything you've heard about it is slightly wrong. It is not a syndrome. It is not a diagnosis. It is a pattern, and patterns can be interrupted. Imposter, Meet Evidence is a three-day Skill Sprint built on 55 peer-reviewed studies, for EAs, Chiefs of Staff, and anyone whose influence depends on communication rather than rank. No hype, no cure claims, no "just believe in yourself." Just what the evidence actually supports, and three days to take up the space you've earned. Day 1: See the pattern. Why capable people can't internalise their own success, the impostor cycle, and the myths worth retiring (including the fake statistic everyone quotes). Day 2: Build the counter-evidence. Your Evidence File, the factual record your self-doubt can't argue with. Then the visibility work: why hiding is the expensive option, and how to retire the pre-emptive apology. Day 3: Say it out loud, and keep it. Translate your work into value language, accept praise without deflecting, and build the maintenance plan that carries you through every future step up. Each day mixes video sessions, written lessons, interactive tools, knowledge-check quizzes and overnight practice, because the research is clear: information alone doesn't shift this pattern. Practice does. You'll still have impostor moments. You'll be done with the impostor life. COUNTS TOWARDS PACE, CAP AND CPD 2 hours of structured learning. Self-paced, so you can spread it across three days or complete it in one sitting if your scheme asks for a continuous block. CAP: maps to Domain One of the CAP Body of Knowledge, Organizational Communication, including Performance Outcome 6, methods of coping with communication anxiety. One hour of education is worth one recertification point, awarded in 15-minute segments, so this course is worth 2 points. PACE: maps to the Interpersonal Communication proficiency module. At 0.1 CEU per hour, this course logs as 0.2 CEU. CPD: 2 CPD hours, or 2 points where your body counts in points, since most work to one point per hour. You finish with a certificate of completion stating your name, the course title, the date and the learning hours, which is the verification all three schemes ask for. Continuing education is self-reported to your certifying body. Check your own recertification requirements before you submit. THE EVIDENCE BEHIND IT Grounded in 55 peer-reviewed sources including the landmark systematic reviews of the impostor phenomenon at work. Every reference carries a working DOI link so you can check the evidence yourself. Full APA7 reference list included.
